Jacques Goyette Ph.D.Emeritus Professor

  • Hydrogen storage.
  • Heat and mass transfer.
  • Modeling and simulation.

Jacques Goyette has received a bachelor degree in physics from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and he holds a Ph. D. in physics from Harvard University. He joined the physics department of UQTR in 1986, first as post-doctoral fellow and, after, as a research fellow. 1n 1991, he became professor in the same department. He has been a member of the Hydrogen Research Institute since its creation in 1994.

His research interests are mainly on metal hydrides. He specialises in the computer modeling of heat and mass transfers in various configurations of hydrogen reservoirs using metal hydrides as the storage media.

He is the author or coauthor of nearly fifty scientific papers. Although he retired in 2017, he remains involved in the activities of HRI.
