DuongLab

Fondé en 2014 par le Professeur Adam Duong, l’équipe DuongLab s’intéresse à la conception de matériaux dans le domaine du développement durable en s’attaquant à deux problématiques centrales : la conversion et le stockage de l’énergie.

L’équipe travaille actuellement sur des matériaux visant l’amélioration des technologies énergétiques. Particulièrement impliqué dans la conception de matériaux innovants pour les piles lithium-ions, les piles à combustibles, les supercapaciteurs, les panneaux solaires, la production d’hydrogène (H2) et la réduction du dioxyde de carbone (CO2) par catalyses ou le stockage et la séparation de gaz à partir de matériaux poreux (Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Hydrogen-Bonded Organic Frameworks (HOFs), etc.)

DuongLab propose des méthodes de synthèse innovantes basées sur la chimie organique/inorganique, coordination, supramoléculaire et réticulaire afin d’incorporer des groupements fonctionnels et d’organiser la matière le développement de l’énergie et des nouvelles technologies.

DuongLab place aussi au cœur de ses préoccupations l’apprentissage. L’équipe cherche perpétuellement à former les prochaines générations de chercheurs, mais aussi à faire partie de la communauté scientifique qui, par les échanges entre ses membres, permet l’agrandissement des savoirs. DuongLab s’investit dans l’enseignement, les regroupements d’experts et dans les collaborations avec les autres universités à travers le monde.

DuongLab Group

La recherche est un domaine vaste, exigeant et multidisciplinaire. Le domaine de l’énergie est un domaine en pleine expansion depuis plusieurs années. Les problèmes environnementaux ou économiques sont une source de préoccupation; certains procédés énergétiques doivent être complètement repensés en termes d’optimisation, de rentabilité ou tout simplement d’innovation. Les ressources deviennent plus rares et il est important de parvenir à mieux les exploiter ou trouver de nouvelles ressources en accord avec un développement durable.

Projects  and Interests:  Currently, Amir  is  working  on preparation of nanocomposites based on polyacrylamide/graphene oxide,  improving the theological investigation, thermal, mechanical properties, implementation in enhanced oil recovery.
